The Royal Family took to social media on Sunday, 12 May to mark International Nurses Day, sharing a visit by Queen Camilla to the Royal London Hospital. 

The Queen visited the Royal London Hospital together with BBC presenter, Alex Jones, to highlight the work that the Roald Dahl Nurses do at the hospital. 

Queen Camilla spent time in the colourfully decorated Healing Suite, a space in the hospital for young patients and their families to spend time together. She met with several patients and their family to hear about their experiences.

Her Majesty also met several Roald Dahl Nurses and learned about everything that they do in their role. She thanked them as Patron of the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity for everything they do for patients and their families. 

The Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity works to provide nurses for children with medically complex conditions and so far has hired 150 Roald Dahl Nurses. The organisation is currently working to raise £1,000,000 to hire more nurses.
