Put my sneakers on: young royals go casual at the Olympics

Put my sneakers on!

Young royals from across Europe have been stealing the spotlight from their parents as they support their countries at the Olympic games. And of course, they are putting their best foot forward fashion-wise with the low-key favourite of the games- the sneaker.

We have seen a plethora of fashionable sneakers at the 2024 Summer Olympics and not only from the athletes.

The Spanish princesses have made a sneaker statement with their footwear choices. Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia are sticking with Spain’s official Olympic collection from Joma Sport and have been wearing the Spanish Olympic Flexy 24 Espana, a casual sneaker designed for Spanish athletes to relax in.

The Dutch princesses have also made their mark in their sneaker choices at these Paris games. Princess Catharina Amalia has stuck with her Autry Global, a favourite casual pair of the Dutch heir to the throne.

Princess Amalia has gone for classic Nike sneakers for the 2024 Olympics and has chosen the Cortez sneaker in white and green.

Queen Máxima did not let her daughters have all of the footwear fun this weekend, though. On Sunday, she grabbed her Anata Sports sneakers to complete her casual look.
