Happy Birthday to Princess Muna of Jordan, who turns 84 today! The British commoner who was the second wife of King Hussein, and remains a valued member of the Jordanian Royal Family as the mother current King Abdullah II of Jordan, Princess Muna has worn this striking Pearl and Diamond Tiara twice in recent years, decades after it was seen once in the 1960!

The exact origin of this Pearl and Diamond Tiara is unknown but like all Princess Muna’s other jewels, it was mostly likely a gift from King Hussein.
Princess Muna most notably wore the Pearl and Diamond Tiara for a banquet at the Guildhall in London during the Jordanian State Visit to Britain in 1966.
Since she gave her two grander Tiaras to her daughters in the intervening decades, Princess Muna wore the Pearl and Diamond Tiara for the Banquet to celebrate the Wedding of her grandson, Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, and Rajwa Al Saif at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman in 2023.
The following year, Princess Muna wore the Pearl and Diamond Tiara for a series of official portraits taken around King Abdullah II’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations, which were shared in her 2025 New Year’s Card.
