Lauren Goodwin-Grafton, who is OK! Magazine’s fashion editor, said: “As a new era of her senior career begins in the Royal Family, we’ve seen The Princess of Wales switch up her previously ‘laid back’ style to a more ‘business’ like approach.

“Her sophisticated, well-fitting suits have fast become a talking point amongst the fashion pack, but what’s the reason behind the subtle style shift? Just like her late mother in-law Princess Diana, Kate is letting her style choices do the talking.”

The Princess is known to have never put a foot wrong when it comes to fashion and her recent move has proved this.

Ms Goodwin-Grafton added: “Suits usually mean business, and now so does Kate.

“Here we see the mother of three rebranding herself from ‘the girl next door’ into a position of power: our future Queen.

“We’ve grown to love Kate for her traditional approach to Royal dressing, from her floaty skirts, elegant midi dresses and Jackie O-esque dress coats – but this transition sees a more refined approach.”

She continued: “Last week she [Kate] flew the flag for British fashion brand Burberry by donning a gorgeous forest green suit, proving once more she is a champion for homegrown fashion.

“Now, she’s stepping out in sartorial pin stripes (a symbol of power). In her new suited era Kate eludes confidence and reinstates our future Queen is ready to take on her role with grace, elegance and true regal style.”

Speaking of Kate’s decision to wear suits, royal style expert Miranda Holder told HELLO!: “Princess Kate’s image has definitely taken on a more business-like feel ever since she became the Princess of Wales; her more serious wardrobe reflecting the gravitas of her heavyweight role within the Firm.”

Like Lauren, Ms Holder stated that it keeps in line with Kate’s future role.

Ms Holder added: “She has literally been rebranded in line with her new level of authority as the Princess of Wales and her position as our future Queen.”
