Princess Kate and Prince William have been officially proclaimed the most stylish celebrity couple in the world, according to research from high-end fashion retailer Karen Millen.

They beat his younger brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle into fifth place, as experts analysed social media hashtags and Google searches for each couple’s outfits and fashion sense to work out the rankings.

Each half of the couple was researched separately before their scores were averaged to work out an interest score out of 10, with Kate and William the only couple to score a perfect 10/10.

Interest in the Prince and Princess of Wales was by far the highest, as online searches for their fashion were 94 percent higher than any other couple on the list.

Filling out the rest of the top five were Hailey and Justin Bieber in second place, followed by Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny and then Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Experts analysed over five million Instagram and TikTok posts featuring hashtags such as ‘style’, ‘fashion’ and ‘outfit’, with searches for Kate’s style being the biggest reason for their win.

The Princess amassed an average of 381.4 million TikTok views per hashtag, as well as an average of 72.6k Instagram posts under each fashion-related hashtag.

Even though fashion heavyweights such as Zendaya, Victoria Beckham and Gigi Hadid featured on the list, interest in Kate and William as a couple far surpassed any other celebrity pairing.

A spokesperson for Karen Millen said of the findings regarding the royals: “Status is definitely a key pulling point for fans, as influential celebs with designer wardrobes tend to prove particularly desirable and inspirational.

“That’s especially true for duos who fit the understated, sculptural, and classy ‘quiet luxury’ aesthetic that has risen in popularity over the last year – exactly like Will and Kate – and Meghan and Harry. “

Kate’s fondness for understated fashion is particularly reflected in her love for the British high street, as she is known to mix and match her wardrobe with classic yet affordable staples.
