On 11 April, Princess Isabella will celebrate her birthday and celebrate Aarhus’s young people who make their living in creative fields. The Danish Royal Court revealed that a sustainable fashion show, a youth-oriented concert, dancers-in-training performing, and a birthday cake baked by vocational education students will be among the day’s events.

In addition, 100 young people from organisations in the area and a further 50 Aarhusians chosen by lottery, will make the guest list.

On 15 April, Princess Isabella and her family will visit the Royal Danish Theatre for a performance. The programme will be televised and over 1,000 young people from across Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland, will be invited to apply to a lottery for tickets to the birthday event.

Princess Isabella’s 18th birthday celebrations will pay tribute “to the communities of the young generation with culture, creativity, sustainability and volunteerism as the principal elements,” according to the Danish Royal Court.

Another special element to the day? After receiving the Order of the Elephant upon her father’s accession on 14 January of last year, Princess Isabella will be officially entitled to use the Order once she reaches her 18th birthday.
