Princess Eugenie gives birth to baby boy, Ernest George Ronnie

Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby boy named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on May 30.

The Princess said that her second child was named after the Duchess of York’s father, Ronald, his grandfather, George, as well as his great-great-great-grandfather, also named George.

He was born at the Portland Hospital at 8.49 in the morning last Tuesday, weighing 7lbs 1oz.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank.”

The baby is 13th in line to the throne and is not expected to receive a royal title.

The arrival marks the first royal child to be born since the death of Queen Elizabeth, and came in the same month as the King’s Coronation.
