Princess Charlotte set for major milestone in new school update | Royal | News

Princess Charlotte is set to hit a major milestone, as fans have been issued a rare update on her school life. Prince William provided a rare update on his adored daughter as he chatted with a young royal fan.

The Prince of Wales stepped out this week to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Much like Their Royal Majesties, the heir to the throne met several members of the public during the poignant events marking the historic landings.

Among the royal fans who got to speak to Prince William during his visit to Portsmouth on Wednesday was a young girl, whose mum said wanted to inquire after Princess Charlotte.

The father-of-three replied the nine-year-old princess could not be there as she was at school.

Revealing Princess Charlotte is already taking exams, he added: “Yes, she’s got tests. She wasn’t looking forward to it this morning.”

Crossing his fingers for good luck, the Prince of Wales added: “Hopefully it’s all gone well!”

During the adorable exchange, Prince William also got to praise the tiny royal fan’s curtsy.

After the excited girl showed her skills while holding her mum’s hand, the Prince of Wales clapped his hands and, with a huge smile said: “Bravo!”

Much like her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis, Charlotte is a student at Lambrook School in Berkshire – a short drive away from the Waleses’ home in Windsor.

The young royals started attending the institution in September 2022, when they were pictured arriving at Lambrook holding their parents’ hands.

Princess Charlotte looked adorable with her plaited hair and baby blue school uniform.

The young princess was last seen in public during the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas Day walkabout in Sandringham, but her family released a new portrait of Charlotte in May to mark her birthday.
