Princess Charlotte and Prince George showed their family’s close bond at last year’s ITV Royal Family Christmas concert, contradicting Meghan Markle’s previous claims about the Royal family’s formality.

The young royals were seen showering their grandfather King Charles and step-grandmother Queen Camilla with kisses and cuddles.

ITV’s Royal editor Chris Ship noted the display of unity and affection among the senior members of the Royal Family during the concert.

He said: “The senior Royal Family chose tonight to put on a show of unity – and even some public displays of affection between father/son and grandad/grandchildren.

Harry added: “How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you will need to curtsy. Especially to an American. That’s weird.”.

Meghan continued: “Now I’m starting to realise ‘This is a big deal’. I mean, Americans will understand this. We have medieval times, dinners and tournaments. It was like that.”

George and Charlotte on Friday attended the third edition of the Christmas concert the Princess of Wales has helped organise since 2020.

The siblings were once again seen showing off their close bond, with younger brother Prince Louis also joining.

The youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales was also spotted cheekily playing with Charlotte as he tried to blow off a candle she held as they left the Abbey.
