The mother of Princess Beatrice’s stepson has hailed Margot Robbie for being a “girl’s girl” and has helped her design her “dream office” as she gave a shout-out to the ‘Barbie’ actor on social media.
Dara Huang, 41, who lives in London, shares an eight-year-old son with Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and took to Instagram to share a selection of snaps with the actor.
Posing with the A-list celebrity, she wrote: “It’s an honour helping @margotrobbieofficial team design her dream house or in this case, Barbie’s dream office with our furniture from @daramasion. Thank you for being a girl’s girl and supporting female led businesses and supply chains.”
She gushed: “We couldn’t have thought a more perfect client to represent our dreams – of hard work, perseverance and now work-life Family balance. Go working mommies!!!!’
Dara shared a selection of photos with the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ actor who was dressed in a monochrome outfit with her hair out in loose waves.
The architect, meanwhile, donned a £569 V-Neck printed chiffon plunge dress from London-based fashion label, Badley Store, for the occasion.
Taiwanese-American Dara Huang has carved out a name for herself in architecture, opening her own firm and co-founding another after working under some of the biggest names in Europe.
Dara was previously in a relationship with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, now husband of Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.
Dara’s son, Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, aka “Wolfie”, whom she shares with her ex-partner, is now the royal step-sibling to Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.
Dara has had an illustrious career designing for a number of high-profile projects, including Manolo Blahnik stores around the world, as well as Harrods, Cartier and the Four Seasons Hotels. In 2013, she established her firm Design Haus Liberty, and later co-founded Vivahouse, which specialises in converting abandoned commercial spaces into co-living projects.
She is a Harvard-educated architect who grew up in Florida and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She now lives in Chelsea, west London.
She recently took her son to Paris and shared a picture of him gazing up at the Eiffel Tower. The American architect wrote in her post that it had always been Wolfie’s dream to see the Eiffel Tower. Dara captioned a sweet Instagram post: “We made it!!! Wolfie’s dream was to see the Eiffel Tower and we made his dreams come true this weekend.”
Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Mapelli Mozzi was born on 28 March 2016. Dara and Edo separated around two years later, in 2018.
Wolfie made his first appearance at a royal engagement last December at the ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service at Westminster Abbey alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
