Happy Birthday to Azrinaz Mazhar binti Hakim Mazhar, who celebrates her 45th Birthday today! The former wife of the Sultan of Brunei, the former Princess Azrinaz possessed this magnificent Diamond Tiara as the third wife of one of the world’s wealthiest rulers!

The striking Diamond Tiara is composed of large pear shaped Diamonds hanging between diamond arches.

Princess Azrinaz first appeared in the Diamond Tiara during the Sultan of Brunei’s 60th Birthday Celebrations in 2006, several months after her marriage.

The Diamond Tiara was also worn that evening for the Sultan of Brunei’s 60th Birthday Banquet at the Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The following year, Princess Azrinaz wore her Diamond Tiara for the Banquet celebrating the Enthronement of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu as the thirteenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia).

Princess Azrinaz wore her Diamond Tiara for the Sultan of Kedah’s Golden Jubilee Banquet at the Istana Anak Bukit in 2009.

The Diamond Tiara was also worn by Princess Azrinaz for the Enthronement of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan in 2010.

Later that year, Princess Azrinaz and the Sultan of Brunei announced their divorce on the Sultan’s Birthday, following which her titles and honours were withdrawn, though her children, Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel and Princess Ameerah, still retain their titles and will no doubt be the next wearers of the Tiara.

Coloured Diamond Tiara
