The Princess Royal is well known for being one of the most sporty members of The Royal Family. However, she has revealed there is one thing she would never do.

During a garden party at Buckingham Palace, Her Royal Highness was introduced to Craig McMurrough and Sarah Temple, two runners who take part in marathons dressed in giant ovary costumes.

The runners showed pictures of them in their costumes to Princess Anne, who was clearly amused.

The 74-year-old royal laughed and said: “Do you run like that?”

She then joked: “Good of you not to turn up like that”, jokingly referring to their smart formal outfits at the garden party.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Ms McMurrough said: “She couldn’t believe we run in those outfits and she said, ‘You won’t get me running a marathon’.”

The running pair run marathons dressed as reproductive organs to rase money for Ovacome – a charity which supports women diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Over the years, they have have raised an incredible £100,000.
