Princess Anne leaves hospital after five day stay for concussion

The Princess Royal is back at her home at Gatcombe after almost a week in hospital.

Princess Anne, 73, left Southmead Hospital in Bristol on the morning of June 28th, five days after being admitted with minor head injuries and concussion.

It’s understood the Princess was injured by a horse in an incident at Gatcombe on June 23rd. She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

As his wife began her recuperation at home, Sir Tim Laurence said ”I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”

All of Princess Anne’s engagements in the near future have been postponed as has a planned trip to Canada this weekend.
