Prince William sparked fan frenzy yesterday on his joint trip to Wales with Princess Kate.

A video emerged online after the couple’s visit to Pontypridd on Wednesday, which saw them try their hand at making Welsh cakes, as well as visiting local traders and members of the public to hear about the recent flooding.

After their engagements, both the Prince and Princess of Wales, 42 and 43, spent time chatting to members of the public, with William making one sweet comment that has sent fans wild.

When talking to one woman, the future King admitted “I’m still as cheeky as ever” when she mentioned having seen the prince before when he was “tiny”.

The candid comment was met with laughter by crowds gathered to say hello.

The walkabout marked the end of an exciting day for William and Kate as they marked their first joint engagement back in Wales together since Kate’s diagnosis and treatment last year.

The couple looked delighted to be back in Wales together as they exchanged smiles, sweet jokes and the occasional hand-holding.

People were also excited to see the future King and Queen back in Wales, with many gathered to see William and Kate despite the wet weather.

As they met fans gathered on the local shopping street, the princess was quick to praise her husband as she spoke to royal fans.
