Prince William previously revealed that Prince Louis was “learning [to play] the drums” during an engagement last year. The royal, 42, has previously revealed that his three children all loved music, but later revealed that Louis, 7, had taken it a step further by wanting to play an instrument himself.
William, also dad to Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10, made the comments as he attended the 2024 Tusk Conservation Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London in November.
Speaking during the engagement, William, laughing, said: “My youngest is learning the drums that’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears.”
Speaking of his daughter, William recently revealed that Charlotte has taken up running as her new hobby.
At a recent investiture ceremony, the Prince of Wales told Olympic gold medal holder Keely Hodgkinson that his daughter enjoyed running.
Keely said afterwards: “The Prince told me his daughter is doing the 400 metres and the hurdles and that she did watch me in Paris. He told me that he remembers me winning and wished to be there to see it himself.”
Pippa Middleton – Kate’s sister and Charlotte’s aunt – is also said to have been a keen runner when she was a child.
In a past interview with Hoka, Pippa – who started running at age eight, said running had been a “constant light” in her life.
She said: “Running has been a constant in my life since these days at prep school. The pre and post-race adrenaline has never left me and to this day I still get the wonderful full-body endorphin feeling about a race or challenge I embark on.
“Gaining the foundation and love of running as a child has been invaluable.”
