Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle has revealed he has taken up an interesting hobby since they moved to Montecito, California in early 2020.
The chilled way of life there has certainly impacted the Duke of Sussex who spends most of his days riding his bike or taking his Labrador for strolls on the beach.
Harry’s typical day involves meditation first thing in the morning for around 30-40 minutes.
This is then followed by a workout with his personal trainers and taking his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to school.
He also enjoys a newfound love of a rather surprising hobby as revealed by Meghan Markle.
During Harry and Meghan’s 2022 Netflix series, the Duchess of Sussex revealed a lesser-known favourite pastime of Harry’s.
In the video, Meghan is recording Harry and Archie son together in the garden. The father and son are seen standing near a bird feeder as Hummingbirds make their way to the pair.
Harry is seen being noticeably calm and still as the birds fly around him.
Meghan is then heard revealing her husband’s favourite hobby saying: “Papa is a bird watcher so this is a really big moment for him.”
The Duke of Sussex also spends his days chatting to his staff, gardening, and the odd school run, according to The Telegraph,
In the evenings, the couple are said to frequent Montecito’s local steakhouse Lucky’s, and an upmarket Italian restaurant, Tre Lune.
This new chilled-out lifestyle may not be all sunshine and roses, however, according to Tom Quinn, royal author.
He previously told The Mirror: “His 100% support for his wife and her business ventures has never wavered, but he doesn’t really have very much to do on a day-to-day basis.
“After he’s taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan.”
Quinn added how over time, Harry “misses some aspects of his old life in the UK” and is looking back at the past “through rose-tinted spectacles”.
He said: “Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”
