Shocking claims about Prince Harry in Vanity Fair described how he wanted to interview the world’s most powerful men and present a sociopath podcast – and ultimately examine why he wasn’t one.

A source interviewed by the outlet explained The Duke of Sussex wanted to speak to powerful world figures such as Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump and ask them how their life experiences had made them into sociopaths, reports The Telegraph.

The source, who worked closely on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s audio projects, recalls Harry discussing the idea.

According to the magazine, and as reported in the Daily Mail, Harry said: “I have very bad childhood trauma. Obviously. My mother was essentially murdered. What is it about me that didn’t make me one of the bad guys?”

Harry took a particular interest in how these men’s personal experiences had transformed them, and wanted to explore this idea further.

Harry’s other ideas reportedly included him reviewing a cup of hot chocolate with a different friend each week, an idea which was not followed through.

Other podcast ideas involved the Prince “fixing”‘ something different each episode, ranging from a flat tyre to huge worldwide issues such as global warming.

Considering the Invictus Games, Harry also suggested interviewing disabled people who competed in the Invictus Games, the sporting event he co-founded in 2013, but there were reported concerns that this would alienate some audiences.

About two years after the couple’s deal signing with Spotify, Meghan premiered her podcast, Archetypes, – which was aimed at empowering women by breaking down gender stereotypes.

Vanity Fair describes how the idea came about, which was from another employee and not the couple. The podcast debuted on August 23, 2022, before Spotify and Archewell Audio released a statement confirming they had “mutually” agreed to part ways in June 2023.

The couple were famously humiliated by Spotify executive, Bill Simmons who worked with the Sussexes and for the streaming giant.

In June 2023, he famously referred to the couple as “f******* grifters”. Speaking on another podcast, he said: “I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.… F*** them. The grifters.”

However, in 2023, the Gracie Awards announced that Meghan was named a top Entertainment Podcast Host for her work.

Per a release on Meghan’s Archewell’s website, the award said it “honors outstanding original content that both entertains and informs in a highly engaging and authentic manner.”

High-profile guests included Meghan’s friend and tennis star Serena Williams, pop icon Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, and comedian Mindy Kaling.
