Among those honoured at our awards was triple amputee Cpl Josh Boggi, who was given a Sun Military Award in 2013 for overcoming adversity after surviving an IED blast in Afghanistan.
Cpl Ricky Furgusson won the Life Saver Award at the 2010 Millies for risking death four times to help wounded colleagues, before he was blown up by a hidden Taliban bomb.
He lost both legs, five fingers and an eye.
Harry’s dad, the then Prince Charles, clasped the hand of brave commandos Mark Ormrod and Ben Parkinson at the first Millies in 2008.
Sgt Ryan McCready scooped the Most Outstanding Soldier award in 2011 for winning the trust of an Afghan community.
Prince William told Ryan, of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Irish Regiment: “You exemplify the unique qualities that make the British soldier second to none.”
