Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face another huge hit to their popularity after becoming the focus of a brand new documentary.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit life as senior royals four years ago, were the focal point of the new programme Harry – The Lost Prince, which aired on Germany’s ZDF network on Tuesday.
Produced by award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald, the show reportedly revealed insights into the couple’s lives in the US after they left the Royal Family in 2020, which includes reportedly hearing from a number of different people who know the couple.
According to The Mirror, this includes a veteran soldier who knew Harry and accuses him of “whinging” about his family.
Although the programme is unlikely to make headlines in America, one royal expert warned it will most likely be a major blow to the couple, who are already facing popularity problems both in the US and the UK.
The Royal Family have not commented on the release of this new documentary, with one royal expert saying they are ignoring it for one key reason.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK!: “I don’t think anyone at the Palace will be very interested in the German documentary.
“The King and William and Catherine all have far too much on their minds to worry about another probe into Harry and Meghan‘s life.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not publicly commented on the documentary since it was aired last night.
