Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been subjected to yet another humiliating attack as the producers of the cartoon satire Family Guy have taken a pop at the former royal couple.

The latest episode of the popular TV series, which aired on Sunday, pokes fun at the pair’s mulit-million pound deal with Netflix and implies that influencing is one of the few ways they can make money, since they stepped down as senior working royals at the start of 2020.

During the episode, main character Peter Griffin is sat at a bar pondering how he will retrieve money he is owed, before deciding that he’ll “go it alone” – just like Harry and Meghan did.

The scene then moves to see the couple lounging by the pool, with Harry’s trademark ginger hair and Meghan glued to her phone, while a quintessentially British-looking butler waits on them and hands over a pay cheque.

The butler tells Harry: “Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no one knows what.”

Harry simply replies “put it with the rest of them,” prompting the butler to head back inside the vast mansion shown in the background of the scene.

Meghan’s phone then springs into action, and she tells her husband: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”

Harry appears less than interested, staring off into the distance, and tells her: “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense.”

Family Guy’s decision to take aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex comes just months after Harry and Meghan were mocked in an episode of South Park – a similar cartoon satire series.

South Park, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, poked fun at Meghan and Harry’s quest for privacy – mocking them for demanding privacy yet simultaneously seeking out press attention.

The Duke’s memoir Spare falls in the firing line, but the producers tweak the cover title to ‘Waagh’ – in an apparent nod to his incessent moaning about the Royal Family.
