Prince Harry and Meghan Markle LIVE: Duchess’ new jam set for whopping 3-figure price tag | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, moved from their Windsor home to Montecito, California in 2020, after stepping back from Royal duties.

However, recent activity has sparked speculation that Prince Harry does not hold a US green card.

According to immigration legal expert Charlotte Slocombe, the Duke’s choice to describe himself as “usually resident” in the US, rather than a permanent resident, could be an indication.

Despite relocating over three years ago, it appears that Prince Harry is indeed not yet an official US citizen.

Slocombe told The Mirror: “From a US immigration perspective ‘residency’ covers a gambit of visa categories and essentially means that he is not a tourist.”

Adding fuel to the flames, the Duke informed UK authorities that his primary residence had shifted from the UK to the US, timed from their departure from Frogmore Cottage last June.

This surprising eviction occurred at the King’s request, marking another significant step away from their previous life as senior working royals.
