Questions have been raised after a camera crew was spotted following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their recent quasi-royal tour of Colombia.
According to an eye-witness, the Sussexes brought along their own photographer, own promotional videographer, and a separate camera crew to capture the occasion.
“They [the Sussexes] have made sure that they have their own photographer present so that the images sent out are carefully selected,” said the source.
“There is also a videographer capturing key moments so that videos can be sent out to the press, but there’s also another camera crew filming their every move.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently undertaking a four-day tour of Colombia at the invitation of the country’s Vice President, Francia Marquez.
The Sussexes’ visit is to help showcase Colombia’s cultural heritage, but also draw a focus to the couple’s personal priorities, such as the impact of the digital world on young people, celebrating the military community and female empowerment.
The source adds that while it is somewhat expected that the Sussexes would take along their own photographer and videographer to capture moments to showcase these priorities, the additional camera crew suggests a new documentary could be on the cards.
“Team Sussex seems to be very much in control on this trip to ensure that Harry and Meghan are viewed in the best light,” said the source.
“The secondary camera crew would suggest there is some other kind of project in development but there is no indication as to what that might be.”
