Prince Harry and Meghan LIVE: ‘Tense dynamic’ revealed | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need a “miracle” to renew their deal with Netflix. Their five-year contract with the streaming giant is up next year, and the pair appear unlikely to see the arrangement, worth more than £70m, continue past 2025.

A royal expert warned the couple’s deal could be “axed”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both in the midst of filming their own polo and cooking shows respectively, need to get back into the royal fold if they want to keep Netflix’s interest, according to a leading commentator.

Louise Roberts, a columnist for News Corp in Australia, told Sky News Australia host Caroline Di Russo: “I think their Netflix deal would be axed if they don’t come up with the royal tidbits, the royal inside information.

“That’s why Netflix signed them up to the deal in 2020 when they left the Royal Family, and of course, that deal was a five-year deal for $100 million, and that expires next year.

“So, unless there’s suddenly some miracle and they’re back in the fold of the Royal Family, I can’t see the deal continuing.”
