THE Prince of Wales revealed to royal fans that his son Prince George is a huge fan of rock bands AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.
William and Kate shook hands and took photos with people at the Big Lunch attendees and coronation concert in a surprise walkabout on The Long Walk in Windsor today.
The royal mum-of-three showcased a more casual look, dressed in trainers and a blazer as she greeted crowds.
Kate was keen to let her hair down, quite literally, wearing her brunette tresses loose in a soft wave after the historic King Charles III coronation yesterday.
The Princess stunned royal fans at the grand event in an extraordinary red, white and blue robe and a glimmering headpiece of silver leaves.
At today’s meet and greet, Caroline Mulvihill, from the Rock Choir in Windsor and Maidenhead, chatted with William.
She told the PA news agency: “We were talking about the kind of music we do in Rock Choir and Will was telling us in their household they have a very diverse music taste and George is very much into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.
“It was quite interesting to hear that.”
Sam Leckenby, another choir member who spoke to William, added: “They mentioned they were quite pleased yesterday’s ceremony wasn’t the original five hours long.
“They were just really lovely.”
George, nine, became the youngest future monarch to play a senior role in a coronation yesterday with his Page of Honour duties.
He wore the traditional outfit – a knee-length scarlet coat with gold trimmings over a white satin waistcoat, and stood alongside three of Camilla’s grandchildren.
His role was to hold the King and Queen Consort’s robes during the ceremony.
Royal fans rushed to social media to talk about how “grown-up” young George looked.
One wrote: “How adorable! Looking more and more like his father.”
Another Added: “I’m so impressed with Prince George.
“It really must quite overwhelming for him at just 9 years old to perform this duty stood behind his grandfather, knowing that one day he will do the same and be crowned King.”
During their 40-minute walkabout today, Kate and Wills spoke to fans enjoying their celebratory picnics.
Members of the public joked with the Princess about her white shoes and warned her about the mud in Windsor.
One young girl was so overjoyed to meet Kate that she burst into tears.
The Princess was spotted helping a little child pick up their Union Jack flag.
The royal couple were cheered on by the crowds, while many people tried to get a selfie with the pair.
The princess was also heard telling well-wishers “I hope you had a good time as well” when they complimented her about how beautiful she looked at the coronation.
William was heard joking with royal fans about bringing alcohol with them to celebrate the lavish event.
One royal fan told Kate: “Can I just say you looked absolutely beautiful yesterday. Absolutely stunning.”
The princess graciously thanked them, as usual, and posed for some selfies.
She also complimented the young children with beaming smiles on their creative Union Jack face paint.
Well-wishers told the pair they had “done brilliantly” at the coronation.
The Prince of Wales was even heard telling a crying baby he needed to be “very happy today” as he chatted to her aunt who had rushed over to see the future King.
