Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have found themselves in a “new role” amid Princess Kate’s cancer recovery, it has been claimed.
The Wales children have allegedly stepped up alongside their cousins from their mother’s side, Pippa Middleton’s Arthur, Grace, and Rose Matthews, to look after their youngest cousin Indigo Middleton – the first child of the Princess of Wales’s younger brother, James.
James and wife Alizee Thevenet welcomed baby Indigo last year and the family now live in Bucklebury, Berkshire, close to Pippa’s home that’s also in Berkshire ,and Kate’s home in Windsor.
Mr Middleton told the Telegraph: “We’ll often stop at my parents’ house [in Bucklebury] for tea or supper.
“My sisters and I are all within 30 minutes’ drive, so there is often an aunt or a cousin passing through, too.
“The cousins all play their role in looking after Inigo – there’s seven of them altogether at the moment.
“I think they’re all impressed at how much of a mess Inigo can make.”
He added: “But there’s lots of laughter and giggles about.”
It comes after the Princess of Wales revealed last month that she has completed her chemotherapy and is hoping to return to some public engagements in the coming months.
The youngest Middleton sibling has recently released a new book titled Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life, in which he opened up about his battle with depression and how his spaniel Ella, who’s now passed away, was instrumental in saving his life.
He also shared glimpses of his life behind the scenes, many of which involve his royal sister and other members of the Firm.
While promoting his book, Mr Middleton spoke on The Life Of Bryony podcast, hosted by Bryony Gordon.
He praised both of his sisters, the Princess of Wales and Pippa Middleton, for being a crucial part of his recovery after they showed up and helped him through therapy.
He said that he “burst into tears” because he felt “so much love” from both of his sisters.
He explained: “That was just so powerful for me in that step of recovery because they weren’t being judgmental, they were really trying to help, and they could have, postponed it, delayed it, they both had their own busy lives and, they were with their grown-up brother who was struggling and it was a very moving moment that for me.”
Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life by James Middleton was published on September 26, priced £22 and you can buy it here.
