The Duke and Duchess of Braganza’s only daughter, 26, got engaged late last year and tied the knot on October 7 inside the Palacio Nacional de Mafra, in Portugal.

After their ceremony, the happy couple stepped out in the sun to crowds full of well-wishers.

The bride looked stunning in a white wedding gown which featured a deep V-neck cut and 3/4 length sleeves which had sequins on the cuffs.

The simple dress had a long train which her veil gently lent on as the couple walked out along a plant-lined red carpet.

Maria accessories the look with a bracelet, statement earrings and a glitzy diamond tiara.

It is thought that Maria was wearing Queen Amélie’s tiara, also known as the King Luis diamond tiara, gifted to Princess Marie Amélie d’Orléans for her 1886 wedding to Carlos, Prince Royal of Portugal by her father-in-law.

The tiara sat on her brown locks which were scraped back neatly into an updo, under the long veil.

She completed her wedding look with natural makeup which included a subtle smokey eye, light bronzer and a nude lip.

Walking by her side, Duarte showed off his pinstriped trousers, light blue tie and a cream waistcoat.

The bride also posed for photos with her father while carrying a bunch of white and pale yellow flowers.

The wedding was followed by a gala dinner hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Braganza in the grounds of their home in São Pedro de Sintra.

Many royal fans took to Instagram to show their love for the newlyweds, with many sharing how gorgeous the bride looked.

The wedding festivities were reported to have carried on all weekend with Maria sporting a Minho outfit, traditional Portuguese clothing, while celebrating with her family.
