The Danish Royal Family pose for a series of formal portraits by Rigmor Mydtskov at Fredensborg Palace on this day in 1964, 60 years ago, their last joint family portraits ahead of the Wedding of Princess Anne Marie to King Constantine of Greece the following month.

King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid were joined by Crown Princess Margrethe,  Princess Benedikte, and Princess Anne Marie as they posed for the legendary Rigmor Mydtskov  in the Dome Hall at Fredensborg Palace.

Queen Ingrid wore the Danish Ruby Parure and Floral Bracelet with the Order of the Elephant and the Royal Family Order of King Frederik IX.

Crown Princess Margrethe wore the Alexandrine Drop Tiara and the Order of the Elephant and the Royal Family Order of King Frederik IX.

Princess Benedikte was in her Diamond Floral Tiara and Diamond Fan Earrings with the Order of the Elephant, the Royal Family Order of King Frederik IX and the Commemorative Badge of the Centenary of the Royal House of Greece.

Princess Anne Marie of Denmark wore Queen Victoria of Sweden’s Diamond Stars, her Van Cleef & Arpels Ruby Necklace, and Diamond Clip Bracelet with the Royal Family Order of King Frederik IX and the Commemorative Badge of the Centenary of the Royal House of Greece.

The Danish Royal Family also posted for a series of less formal portraits at Fredensborg Palace, which were taken by the famed Lord Lichfield.
