King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain hosted an Official Luncheon for President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the Royal Palace in Madrid on February 19th, during his Official Visit to Spain.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia held a lunch in honour of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at the Royal Palace in Madrid, which symbolises the strengthening of diplomatic and commercial ties between Spain and Egypt.
The King wished to point out in his words during the toast that:
“… 10 years ago, your visit – the last one – to our country was a decisive boost to the consolidation of our bilateral relations. On that occasion, right here, I stated that Egypt could count on Spain, just as I was sure that we could count on your country. Time has demonstrated the solidity and permanence of that mutual commitment. During this decade our countries have worked decisively in favour of shared peace, stability and security in a geographical and historical space that unites us and challenges us: the Mediterranean, cradle of civilisation and great melting pot of cultures …”,
Earlier in the day, King Felipe VI received the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, at the Royal Palace in Madrid, where they held a bilateral meeting on the occasion of his official visit to Spain.
Queen Letizia wore the Grey Pearl Brooch of the Joyas de Pasar.
