Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Metter Marit are continuing their successful 2024 Summer Olympic adventures with more medal wins.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess were at the Stade de France on the final morning of the Summer Olympics of 2024 to see another historic Norwegian victory at the Paris games.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen took the gold medal in the Men’s 5000 metre athletics event for Norway with a season best time of 13:13.66. It was a particularly impressive finish as he was only in fifth place at the 4000m mark but he pulled through.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit were happily cheering on Ingebrigtsen during his medal ceremony.

Norway has won several medals at the Olympics this year. They have four golds, one silver and three bronzes, tying their Beijing record of eight medals.

After Ingebrigtsen’s victory, the Norwegian royal couple took to the Olympic Village to see more of what the athletes are experiencing. They also went to visit the Eiffel Tower together, a trip that has now become a must-visit in addition to the ever-popular Olympic Rings.

King Harald and Queen Sonja are enjoying the Olympics from their home in Norway while the Crown Prince and Crown Princess are in Paris.
