A newly-released documentary about Prince Harry is “all about him”, but shows his wife Meghan Markle as wanting to be a little more than just his “plus one”.

The couple recently travelled to Canada for the one-year countdown for the 2025 Invictus Games, with their trip played out in a new documentary on Hulu.

The trip also occurred just a few months before the tenth anniversary of the Games, which were founded by the former senior royal in 2014.

Body language expert Judi James, who is often seen analysing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s body language during outings, looked at the clip of the couple taking part in a skeleton (bobsleigh) ride – even noting Meghan’s “awkward moment”.

Speaking of Meghan, Ms James told the Mirror: “Meghan’s body language shows her to be super-supportive and encouraging, clearly wanting to be more than Harry’s ‘plus one’ here.”

She added: “When he squats to chat to athletes she squats right alongside him and her body language rituals define her as very much a part of him in the communication.

“Her head is close to his and her reactions mirror his during the chats, showing her to be sharing the conversations with her husband rather than doing her own thing.”

Speaking of Harry, she added that he appeared very focussed on the “mission” at hand at the event – something that is often deemed as his “best work”.‌

Ms James concluded: “Meghan is in support and congratulatory mode again, walking into shot with both hands held out in a proffered hug. Harry keeps his safety helmet in his hands though, signalling a decline of the hug, while he continues chatting to the guy next to him.”

Stating that Meghan looked “keen to join in and to enjoy the exhilaration with Harry”, Ms James noted: “She touches her face then raises her hand in a polite signal of a wish to speak. She then touches her knitted hat and in the end taps Harry to get his attention, smiling and covering her mouth in a collusive giggly grin before saying ‘well done’.”

The couple are tipped to be returning to the UK later this year, potentially with their two children in tow, for the tenth anniversary of the Games.

It was previously reported that Harry has been engaged in “Government-like talks” in order to plan a service at Westminster Abbey and for his wife and their children to come over to his home country.
