Meghan Markle could be set to make an appearance at next year’s Invictus Games alongside, with the sporting event due to take place in February 2025.

Although her appearance has not yet been confirmed, one PR expert has suggested that it may be better if Prince Harry attends solo.

Questions have been circulating about Meghan’s attendance as Harry travelled on his own to an event in Canada – which is the host country of the next Games – earlier this month.

In a trip which was used a way to promote the forthcoming Games, Harry said that he and the Invictus team are “really excited” for what is to come in 2025.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, GoUp’s Edward Coram-James discussed on what it would mean if Meghan were to attend – and if she were not to make an appearance.

He said: “Meghan attending could be a statement of unity — or a distraction. The Sussex brand is damaged, no doubt about it.

“So, when they appear together, they bring baggage. Meghan attending could overshadow what the Games are about — veterans, not royal drama.”

In addition, he added that – by Meghan not attending – it will led to further speculation about the couple. The PR expert added: “On the flip side, if Meghan doesn’t attend, people will inevitably speculate —“Are they growing apart? Are the Sussexes in trouble?” She’s in a damned-if-she-does, damned-if-she-doesn’t situation.”

Speaking of Harry, the expert added that he believes Harry would be best to attend the Games without Meghan by his side.

He added: “If Harry wants to rehabilitate his image, he’s better off going solo and showing the world that he can stand for something without Meghan always in the picture.”

Mr Coram-James further explained: “In my opinion, Harry needs this moment for himself (this is his passion project after all) without the media frenzy that follows her everywhere.”

Whilst Harry travelled to Canada earlier this month, Meghan is thought to have remained in California with their children. Enjoying a night away from parenting duties, the former actress made a few appearances of her own. Meghan appeared at the Highbrow Hippie Launch Party on November 14.
