Meghan Markle’s close friend has revealed what she really thinks about the duchess’ Netflix show. The Duchess of Sussex’s series “With Love, Meghan” aired earlier this month with its first eight episodes. In each episode, Meghan, 43, could be seen cooking and hosting for a number of celebrity friends.
While the mum-of-two has received plenty of support from fans, she has also been the subject to much criticism, especially in the UK. One of her close friends who featured on the show, Abigail Spencer, has now revealed what she really thinks of Meghan’s Netflix series.
Abigail, who starred alongside Meghan in Suits, has known the duchess since 2007 and has been a close friend since.
As well as often meeting up with Meghan in California, she was also one of the celebrity guests at Harry and Meghan’s 2018 Windsor wedding, which took place less than two years before they quit royal duty.
While the pair aren’t frequently spotted together, Abigail, 43, did star in Meghan’s new Netflix series, and has since revealed what she really thinks about it.
She told Hello!: “Meghan is the hostess with the most. Literally for years she has been like this.”
She continued: “But I really was there just to support her and surround her.
“This is her heart, that show is her heart, it was so natural and [I was] really just there to have fun and to delight in her and to be a safe space. I think that comes through.”
Abigail has rarely commented on Meghan in the past, however she has frequently shown support for her friend on social media, including on March 4 when the show aired for the first time.
Abigail wrote on Instagram that day: “You’re a “Surprise & Delight” Meg in human form ;). Thank you so much for having @_heartmom_ & I over to host, love on and teach us your ways. Your mysteries revealed. Even to your nearest. I appreciate you even more than I already do if that were even possible.”
