Meghan Markle’s birthday IGNORED publicly by Royals as they’re ‘fed up’ with Sussexes – in second snub in days

MEGHAN Markle’s birthday has been IGNORED publicly by the Royal Family as they’re “fed up” with the Sussexes, claims an expert.

The Duchess of Sussex turns 42 today with members of the Firm struggling to put the family rift aside to wish her a special day.

It’s rumoured Meghan has opted for a “toned down” affair this year rather than having a glitzy bash.

Alongside husband Harry, 38, the pair plan to celebrate “privately” – after claims earlier this week that they were trying to stop the “soap opera” around them.

It comes after the pair chose to remain in the public eye, despite quitting the UK for a private life, and repeatedly bashed the Royal Family in interviews, a memoir, a Netflix docuseries and podcasts.

And Kate and Wills, along with Charles and Camilla, are yet to wish the former actress a happy birthday – despite the Firm normally sharing best wishes on social media on the morning of a Royal’s big day.

It makes it the second snub in days after it was revealed the couple won’t be part of the Firm’s event marking the Queen’s death.

Royal author Angela Levin has told The Sun Online William and Kate are “fed up” of Meghan and shouldn’t have to send her well wishes.

She said: “Meghan didn’t recognise Camilla’s birthday publicly so I don’t see why they should do anything in return,

“William wants absolutely nothing to do with Harry at the minute and who can blame him.

“Katherine is forgiving and isn’t nasty, she comes from a loving home, but she is also really fed up with Meghan too.

“They could say something that has no emotion and no love – very very basic.

“They don’t want to give Meghan an opportunity to be nasty and for the Sussexes squad to be vile because they will attack them back.

“But why should they after how Harry and Meghan have acted.”

William and Kate’s joint Twitter account has tweeted today to congratulate the Rhino Man on his documentary about protecting the animals – but have made no mention of Meghan’s big day.

The Prince and Princess of Wales wished Meghan a happy birthday last year alongside King Charles and Camilla.

However, since then Harry has continued to slam the family with wife Meghan in his memoir Spare and their documentary.

It comes just hours after The Sun exclusively revealed the couple have not been invited to a gathering to mark a year since the Queen’s death.

Despite the Sussexes being in Europe next month for the Invictus Games, they have been snubbed by the Royals.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to mark the poignant anniversary on September 8 at Balmoral surrounded by family.

Harry and Meghan, who quit Britain in 2020, are due to kick off the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf 24 hours later.

But insiders revealed the pair, who now live in Montecito, California, with their two kids, have not been invited to any public or private commemorations.

A source said: “There hasn’t been any outreach to them.”

Harry and Meghan’s visit to Germany on September 9 will be the couple’s first joint appearance in Europe since the Queen’s funeral.

Since then, Charles has booted them out of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor – leaving them without a home in Britain.

No royals are expected to see the couple when they are in Europe as they are all likely to still be at Balmoral.

A source said of the commemorations snub: “If they are not included in any of those plans they will find a way to mark the significance in their own way.”

The King, 74, and Queen, 76, will start their three-week holiday on August 21 at Balmoral, where Her Majesty passed away.

They will be joined by royals including Harry’s brother William, his wife Kate and their three children.

It’s also understood Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his HRH title last year, and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be in attendance.

Harry and Meghan were in the country for charity engagements last year when doctors became concerned for the Queen’s deteriorating health.

Harry was asked by his father in a phone call not to bring Meghan to Balmoral.

He flew in a private jet alone, separately from William, Andrew, Prince Edward and wife Sophie, and arrived too late to see the Queen before she died.

The Sussexes have since been criticised for filming parts of their six-part Netflix documentary while the Queen was unwell last summer.

The series, Harry and Meghan, was finally released three months after the death of Elizabeth II.

Meghan was slammed for performing an over-the-top curtsy as she recounted the moment that she first met Harry’s grandmother.

Harry also accused brother William of “screaming and shouting” during the Sandringham Summit which sealed their royal exit and said Charles had “lied” to them.

Writing in his bombshell autobiography Spare, Harry claimed he and William pleaded with their father not to marry Camilla.

He also detailed a fight with Will in which he said he was knocked to the ground.

Those revelations came after their infamous interview with US TV host Oprah Winfrey, including allegations that an unnamed royal made racist remarks about the skin colour of their children.

Harry also claimed he took his family away from the UK to “break the cycle” of “pain and suffering”.
