Meghan Markle came in for a royal roasting on Saturday Night Live in a skit that took aim at Prince William and Princess Kate’s Christmas card.

The Waleses recently sent royal onlookers into a frenzy after they released their adorable Christmas card. William and Kate were joined by their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, for the black-and-white snap, with the whole family beaming in matching outfits.

SNL cast member Colin Jost pointed out a peculiar detail in the card, which he worked into a gag about the Duchess.

He said: “A Christmas photo released by the Royal Family features a bad photoshop job where Prince Louis’ finger appears to be missing and—this is sweet—Meghan Markle said she has a finger they can use if they need it.”

A pixelated photo of Meghan appearing to make the offensive gesture was then shown alongside the Wales’ Christmas card.

This is not the first time the Duchess has been the butt of the joke. Team Sussex were thrown into a tizzy back back in March after SNL poked fun at her attendance at the Coronation.

The sketch saw comedian Michael Che take aim at the Duchess Of Sussex as he made a crass joke about the speculation surrounding Meghan and her husband Harry’ attending King Charles’ Coronation.

He joked that Meghan has been offered “£15 an hour” to attend King Charles III coronation as a mocked up image of her dressed in a maids outfit was shown behind him.

In the segment, Michael said: “It was reported that the organisers of King Charles’ Coronation have officially invited Meghan Markle.

“And this is nice: at a starting salary of £15-an-hour.”

The roasting came after South Park satirised the Sussexes and their alleged demands for privacy on the world stage earlier this year.

Family Guy have also taken a pop at the former royal couple.

A recent episode of the popular TV series, which aired in October, poked fun at the pair’s mulit-million pound deal with Netflix and implies that influencing is one of the few ways they can make money, since they stepped down as senior working royals at the start of 2020.
