Laura Perkes, PR strategist, reputation manager and founder of PR with Perkes claimed she had high hopes for Meghan’s potential return to showbiz.

She told Express.co.uk: “If Meghan can break back into Hollywood then I think the tide will turn for her good fortune and she’ll rebuild a reputation that’s currently in tatters.

“It’s no secret that Meghan has always had a desire to become a Hollywood starlet and this could be the one big opportunity she’s been waiting for.

“Prior to Suits, not many people had heard of Meghan Markle, yet it was her relationship with Prince Harry that contributed to her meteoric rise to fame.”

“Aside from being an actress, Meghan has attempted to break into philanthropy, which hasn’t worked in her favour and actively contributed to the reputation the couple have carved out for themselves.”

The expert added that a return to acting would help Meghan “rebuild her reputation and contribute to her rise back to stardom, which will then open other doors to other opportunities.

“Being a brand ambassador is something else she’s always strived for, but in recent years brands have been wary of aligning themselves with Meghan because of the negative press she receives. Not all publicity is good publicity.”
