Meghan Markle ‘ready to add hotels and restaurants to As Ever | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to add hotels and restaurants to her brand, As Ever, as she thinks ahead to the future. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is reportedly trademarking her lifestyle firm As Ever for “hospitality services”.

It is believed this will include places to stay, “provision of food and drink” and temporary lodgings for guests, as reported by The Sun. While certain details are currently unknown, and have not been confirmed by Prince Harry’s wife herself, it is believed that these places to stay will serve As Ever products and some of Meghan’s own food creations, including those shown on her Netflix series “With Love, Meghan”.

While the duchess’ plans may come as a surprise to some, Meghan did make her love of hosting clear in her cooking series, admitting that one of her favourite things to do is “prep the guest room” for people to stay, which includes adding sweet touches to make them feel at home.

PR and branding expert Jack Izzard, of Gallia Communications, said that her trademark application is part of her plan to position herself as a star hostess.

He told The Sun: “She is very much positioning herself as a star hostess, Californian royalty who makes her guests feel welcome.

“The issue she’s potentially going to have is that’s a completely different skill set, running a hospitality business.

“A night in an As Ever B&B will be several hundred pounds. That’s really going to blow up if it’s bad.”

Meghan herself has not commented on the reported plans, however she has told As Ever fans that a restock of products is on the way this month.

Writing on Instagram, the duchess said: “To all who’ve been wondering and waiting, thank you!

“Your favorites are returning, plus a few NEW things we can’t wait to show you. Coming this month…get excited!”
