Prince Harry’s hopes of a UK homecoming may be heading to a standstill, as it is revealed Meghan Markle has no desire to return to England.

According to Omid Scobie, author of Finding Freedom and upcoming book Endgame, claims the Duchess of Sussex “never really felt at home” in the UK, and “never wants to step foot in England again.”

It is also claimed she refused to travel to London for King Charles’s coronation as she refuses to “dive back into the soap opera [we would like to add the “old” soap opera…] of the court”.

Despite Meghan Markle’s unwillingness to return to the UK, the Sussexes are apparently keen on keeping a close relationship with King Charles, with Scobie revealing they have been keeping him “up to date with their family life by sending him photos of the children”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle famously left The Firm back in 2020, starting a new life with their family in Montecito, California, with their children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.

Though the couple seem open to repairing relations with King Charles, the upcoming book by Omid Scobie, dubbed by many as “Meghan’s mouthpiece”, could cause further problems for the couple’s reintegration into the family.

The book is described as “a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy”, and continues: “An unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.”

Scobie is also author of 2020 book Finding Freedom, which also revealed information about Harry and Meghan’s married life, as well as their relationship with the Royal Family. The biography was supposedly unauthorised, but it was later revealed in court that the Duchess of Sussex was aware of the book, with Scobie receiving help from one of Meghan Markle’s former aides.
