Meghan Markle has been mocked after talking about how she finds “joy” in sprinkling dried flower petals on food. At the Time 100 Summit event earlier this week in New York City, Meghan – who was a key speaker at the event – spoke about using the flower sprinkles to create “magic”. This comes after The Duchess of Sussex, 43, sold flower sprinkles as part of her As Ever business launch earlier this month.
While Meghan seems to find joy in sprinkling flower petals on food, admitting that she does this on salads and scrambled eggs, not everyone on social media seems to agree with the duchess. Instead, a number of people took her to X to mock her after her admission on Wednesday.
One person wrote on X: “She keeps finding new ways to relate to absolutely no one.”
A second said: “She lives in a parallel universe.”
A third wrote: “I think I’ll just go with the classic combination of salt and pepper.”
A fourth said: “Who has the time?”
While many criticised what the duchess said, some seemed fond of the idea of sprinkling flower petals on food.
One fan of the duchess wrote: “I love her.”
Another said: “No big deal. Some flowers are delicious in salads.”
A third commented: “Meghan is just so lovely to see. When she speaks, I smile. I love my flower petals.”
Meghan sold her first batch of As Ever flower sprinkles earlier this month for around £11.20 ( $15).
