Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently on a four-day trip to Colombia and the former Suits actress appeared to reveal her favourite Spice Girl in a sweet gesture. It comes after previous reports suggested the Beckhams and the Sussexes had drifted apart.
It was claimed a rift had sparked between Meghan and Victoria Beckham amid reports stories of the royal couple had been leaked to the press, leaving David Beckham “furious” about the claims.
This was despite the former pop star and her husband David attending Meghan and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding at Windsor Castle.
Reports also claimed that the Duke of Sussex and the footballer had grown distant.
But Meghan appeared to put all of the claims to rest when she attended a Summit on a ‘Responsible Digital Future’ in the South American country this week.
The mother-of-two wowed in a pair of smart brown trousers by La Ligne, a new pair of caramel heels by her all-time favourite shoe brand Aquazzura, and a dazzling silk brown shirt by none other than Victoria Beckham.
She accompanied the glamorous attire with her gold Cartier jewellery.
The shirt is from VB’s 2020 collection and it is not the first time the Duchess of Sussex has sported the fashionable piece.
Meghan previously wore the £600 shirt to endorse Joe Biden for US President in 2020.
She recorded a video from her Montecito home with Prince Harry amid the tense Biden versus Donald Trump campaign cycle four years ago.
Meghan has been a fan of Victoria’s fashion line for several years and often sported her various collections while working as a royal.
During a Christmas service in 2018, while pregnant with Archie, she rocked VB from head-to-toe with the attire selling out immediately.
A few days later, mother-of-four Victoria appeared on the US show Live With Kelly and Ryan and addressed Meghan wearing her brand.
She gushed: “She looked so beautiful. It was such a lovely surprise to wake up to on Christmas morning. I think that she’s such a beautiful, strong, wonderful woman, so it was a huge honour.”
Meghan and Victoria first met in 2013 when the then-actress wore one of her dresses to a gala event at the New York Film Festival.
The former pop star had previously had connections with Prince Harry, first meeting him more than 20 years ago in November 1997 when they both visited South Africa.
The Beckhams have also been regular attendees at royal weddings including the Sussexes’ in 2018 and the couple alos attended Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011, when Victoria was pregnant with Harper.
