Korean State Visit to Britain

King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom are hosting the President of the Republic of South Korea, His Excellency President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee on their State Visit to Britain on November 21st and 2nd, which is the second State Visit of King Charles’ Reign and the first after the Coronation.

The Prince and Princess of Wales (wearing Princess Diana’s Sapphire Earrings) greeted  President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee on behalf of the King at their Hotel in London on the morning of November 21st, before traveling with them to Horse Guards Parade.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch) formally welcomed President and First Lady at the Royal Pavilion on Horse Guards Parade, while the Guard of Honour played a Royal Salute and the South Korean National Anthem was played as part of the Ceremonial Welcome.

   

The King accompanied the President to inspect the Guard of Honour, formed by F Company Scots Guards before joining the Queen, First Lady and the Prince and Princess of Wales, for a carriage procession in the Diamond Jubilee, Irish and the Scottish State Coaches along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, where they were met by a second Guard of Honour found by 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.
