King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands wrapped up his Scandinavian tour by meeting with the Norwegian Royal Family in Oslo.
The Dutch King was in Denmark and Norway this week to promote and expand cooperation between the Netherlands and the two Scandinavian countries when developing and expanding work in hydrogen and regional hydrogen infrastructure.
Crown Prince Haakon joined King Willem-Alexander at a plant near Oslo where green hydrogen is being produced sustainably. They were able to meet with employees to learn more about their work and possibilities for expanding further.
Willem-Alexander and Haakon then attended a round-table discussion at Oslo City Hall. The panel featured experts who shared their thoughts on decarbonization in the maritime sector.
King Harald and Queen Sonia were also able to meet with the Dutch monarch. The royal couple hosted King Willem-Alexander for a private lunch in the afternoon.
The Dutch King began his trip by visiting Denmark on Monday. He was joined by King Frederik of Denmark as they toured several facilities to learn more about sustainable energy production.
All three nations hope to work together to build needed infrastructure both on land and sea to decarbonize the maritime industry. Hydrogen production and storage will also be a priority for all three countries.
