Following their State Visit to Sweden, State Visit to Norway and an extensive Tour of Greenland, the new King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark completed their first annual Summer Tour of Danish Municipalities on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, their first after the Accession of King Frederik X in January upon the Abdication of Queen Margrethe II.
Bornholm
Upon arrival at Rønne Harbour, King Frederik and Queen Mary rode in a carriage to the Official Reception at the Rønne Theater with an escort from the Guardhusar Regiment’s Horse Squadron.
The King and Queen visited Bornholm’s Center for Handicrafts, hiked through Ekkodalen to Hareløkkerne, visited the company Food Bornholm and had lunch in the fire hut at Hareløkkerne, before a visit to the Østerlars Church in Gudhjem and the Old Power Station in Rønne.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a Reception for Guests from Bornholm’s Regional Municipality on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog in Rønne Havn.
Ærø
Arriving at Marstal Harbor on Ærø, King Frederik and Queen Mary were officially received by the Mayor at the Motorfabrikken Marstal before visiting the electric ferry “Ellen” in Søby Harbor, then the old manor house Søbygaard before a Hike in Voderup Klint and a stroll from Ærøskøbing Square to Ærøskøbing Harbour.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary (wearing the Antique Turquoise Earrings) hosted a Reception for Guests from Ærø Municipality on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog in Ærøskøbing Harbour.
Assens
Arriving at at Midtermolen in Assens Harbour, King Frederik and Queen Mary rode through the town’s main street to Assens Town Hall, escorted by the Guardhusar Regiment’s Horse Squadron. Following the Official Reception, the King and Queen visited the Peter Willemoes School and the Lundagerskov Forest before a official lunch at the Forest Pavilion. Afterwards, the King and Queen visited Assens Forsyning – Forsyningsparken and the company WaterCare before a walk through the town of Assens.
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a Reception for Guests from Assens Municipality on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog in Assens Harbour.
Vejle
Upon arrival at Vejle Harbour, King Frederik and Queen Mary were received in an Official reception at the Vejle Town Hall before a visit to Kong Gauer’s Gård, a visit and lunch at Fjordenhus, a visit to Welcon, a visit to Vejle Climate Park and the Floating Kayak Club
In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary (wearing the Earrings of the Danish Ruby Parure) hosted a Reception for Guests from Vejle Municipality on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog in Vejle Harbour. The King and Queen released a message:

Everywhere we have been welcomed in the most festive way from roadsides, windows and balconies, on harbor fronts, town squares and town halls. Thanks.
Our country has a lot to offer, and we have enjoyed experiencing culture and nature, communities and professional knowledge first hand.
