KING Charles has reportedly stripped a princess’s ex-husband of his OBE after the couple’s bitter divorce.
Anthony Bailey, 53, was slapped with a 12-month sentence for contempt of court last year after he broke a divorce agreement with his ex-wife Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenberg.
He is now marooned at his £4million villa in Portugal – with a judge noting that he “deliberately left the country” to avoid prison.
Now King Charles has reportedly stripped Bailey of his OBE, which the Queen awarded him in 2008 for “services to inter-religious relations and charity”.
Bailey told the Mail: “This latest news will no doubt bring great joy to my ex wife.
“It is yet another illustration of what is fundamentally wrong with the deeply flawed divorce process in Britain.”

He added that he had “not been notified” about the loss of his OBE.
Over 600 guests attended Anthony and Marie-Therese’s 2007 wedding in Austria – with Prime Minister Tony Blair sending a note congratulating them.
The PR boss and Labour donor met several royals including Charles and arranged Lord Nicholas Windsor’s wedding at the Vatican.
But Marie-Therese started divorce proceedings in 2019 – which ended up with Bailey staying in Portugal during a High Court wrangle.
