They have then taken part in more therapies with a meditation session before dinner.
The stay at the resort is not connected to the King’s health and instead is part of the advice given to the monarch to rest following the royal tour.
A spokesman for Buckingham Palace said: “Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa. They return to the UK this morning.”
The King, who paused his cancer treatment to go overseas, will resume treatment this week now he has landed home in the UK.
He is expected to return to a full normal schedule of royal tours next year, including one in Spring and one in Autumn, depending on advice from his doctors.
The location and exact date of these tours has not yet been confirmed.
A senior Palace aide confirmed last week: “We’re now working on a pretty normal looking full overseas tour programme for next year, which is a high for us to end on, to know that we can be thinking in those terms – subject to sign off by doctors.”
