The king has been presented with a handmade card as he attended a Coptic Church Advent Service.

His Majesty was presented with the artwork by six year old Taormina who wrote on the card ‘’Happy Holiday’’ before sending best wishes ‘’with love’’.

King Charles said he was ‘’very touched’’ by the gift which was handed over at a reception at the Coptic Orthodox Church Centre UK in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The Advent Service was held at the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George with The King welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos.

The service included traditional music and prayers.

The Cathedral was the first purpose built Coptic place of worship in the UK and only the second purpose built in Europe.

It is named for St. George, an important figure in Coptic Christianity. St George is also, of course, the patron saint of England.

King Charles also planted a tree to mark the visit.
