King Charles has arrived back in London for more cancer treatment, with images showing the monarch waving to crowds as his State Bentley drives down the Mall.

The King is understood to have left Windsor Castle this morning, before this morning’s memorial service for his close friend and second cousin King Constantine of Greece, it has been reported.

Charles, whose cancer treatment continues, was said to be at the premises but left before the memorial service, with the reception afterwards to be hosted by Camilla, according to the Mail.

Prince William also missed the service due to a “personal matter”, Kensington Palace announced.

The Prince of Wales, who was due to give a reading, called the Greek royal family to apologise and say he would be unable to attend.

Constantine’s eldest son Crown Prince Pavlos gave the reading in William’s place.

The Palace also confirmed the Princess of Wales was ‘doing well’ following her abdominal surgery.

Queen Camilla led members of the Royal Family at the service, which took place in the nave of the 15th-century chapel.

The Queen was joined by Queen Anne-Marie, former Queen of the Hellenes as she arrived.

During the service, Camilla could be seen wiping away a tear as people gathered to celebrate the life of the late King Constantine, who died in January 2023 at an Athens hospital.

The service was led by the Dean of Windsor, The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth.

Prince Andrew attended the service joined by his former wife, Sarah Ferguson and their daughter Princess Beatrice. Princess Eugenie was absent.

The Duke of York was reportedly invited by the Greek royals.

Princess Anne was also spotted alongside her husband Sir Timothy Laurence and was joined by her daughter Zara and her husband Mike Tindall.
