King Charles and Queen Camilla to host President of France on State Visit

King Charles III will host President Emmanual Macron of France for a State Visit.

President Macron will be a guest of The King at Windsor Castle in July.

It will be the first State Visit to the UK by a French President since Brexit.

The King and Queen will welcome President Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to Windsor between July 8th and July 10th 2025.

It’s the first State Visit to be hosted at the Castle in Charles III’s reign. Previous State Visits have been held at Buckingham Palace but that isnow closed for such events because of ongoing restoration work.

King Charles made the second State Visit of his reign to France. It was a huge success with big crowds cheering him through the centre of Paris and The King requesting his car slow down so he could stand and acknowledge those who had come to see him.

This could be the first of several State Visits hosted by The King and Queen this year. Reports indicate that the US President, Donald Trump, could also make a State Visit in 2025.
