The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared two sweet family photographs to mark Mother’s Day.
Kate Middleton, 41, and Prince William, 40, took to the Kensington Palace Twitter account where they posted an adorable portrait of the mum-of-three sitting in a tree alongside their three children – Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four.
In the nature-themed snap, Prince Louis – the youngest of the couple’s three children – can be seen placing his hand on his mother’s knee as she affectionately puts her hand on top.
Meanwhile, Prince George casually rests his leg over his mum’s legs and Princess Charlotte holds onto the branch above her.
While Kate’s sons are both dressed in blue t-shirts and shorts, Princess Charlotte puts on a stylish display in a cute denim play suit adorned with pom poms.
Alongside the sweet snap, which was taken on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk last year, the caption read: “Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours.”
In a second heartwarming portrait, Kate can be seen looking down and smiling at her four-year-old Prince Louis, who she lovingly cradles in her arms.
The royal, who wears her brunette locks wavy and loose, cuts a relaxed figure in a pair of blue denim jeans, a white lace long-sleeved top and trainers.

In a nod to her late mother-in-law, Kate can also be seen wearing Princess Diana’s stunning sapphire engagement ring, which Prince William proposed to her with when he popped the question in Kenya in 2010.
The outdoor snaps are fitting for keen gardener Kate, who is famed for her love of outdoor pursuits – including sailing, hiking and skiing.
Both images were taken by environmental portrait photographer Matt Porteous, who previously took the photo they used for their 2021 Christmas card, and Prince George’s third birthday portraits.
Royal fans rushed to the comments section to share their delight after the unseen photographs were shared.
“Awww, super cute!” enthused one.
A second praised: “Lovely photos!”
A third penned: “Enjoy! This lovely picture has all the feels, also! Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums celebrating!”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Just beautiful!”
Prince William and kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have some very sweet traditions when it comes to celebrating Kate each year.
Mothering Sunday for the Cambridges often involves messy cake-baking sessions, homemade cards and also paying tribute to Diana.
The unseen family photographs come after King Charles paid tribute to his late mum the Queen in a touching Mother’s Day post.
The Monarch, 74, joined the Queen Consort in sharing a heartfelt tribute to those “missing their mums” today.
In a post on the Royal Family’s official Instagram page, Charles shared a picture of the Queen holding him as a toddler.
Her Majesty Elizabeth II died peacefully aged 96 in September last year.
Meanwhile, Camilla shared a throwback picture of her and her mum Rosalind Shand, who passed away in July 1994.
The post read: “To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special Mother’s Day”.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have also shared an adorable family photo in honour of Mother’s Day.
Eugenie, 32, who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, posted the adorable snap of their two-year-old son August holding his mother’s hand on Instagram.
The mother and son duo can be seen heading out on a glorious winter’s day as they go for a stroll across the frosted grass.
While Eugenie, who is the King’s niece, wrapped up warm in a black coat, gloves and boots, August donned a cable-knit jumper and trousers.
The doting mum sweetly captioned the post: “I love being your Mumma! Happy Mothers Day!”
