The Emperor and Empress arrived in the UK on Saturday, but the royal element of the trip begins on Tuesday.

The trip starts with a greeting from Prince William, who will accompany them to Horse Guards Parade where they will meet King Charles and Queen Camilla.

In the evening, the royals will host their visitors at a State Banquet, where both King Charles and Emperor Naruhito will make speeches.

On Wednesday, the Emperor will visit The Francis Crick Institute, the UK’s flagship biomedical research centre. He will also attend a banquet at the Guildhall with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

On Thursday, they will bid farewell to the King and Queen and visit a museum. They also plan to stop by St George’s Chapel to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

They will then spend their final day in the UK visiting Oxford, where Emperor Naruhito studied.

The Lord Chamberlain will bid farewell to the Emperor and Empress before they set off from RAF Brize Norton.
