James Wessex is proving somewhat of a hit with the girls at neighbouring schools, Express.co.uk has learned.
According to a well-placed source, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s 16-year-old son, who attends Radley College in Abingdon, has caught the eye of girls at nearby Downe House, Heathfield and St. Mary’s School Ascot.
“Radley and Ascot have quite a thing going on and the girls there have a competition going to see who can bag James first,” said the source. “Lady Louise used to go to Ascot so some of the girls already know him.
“He hasn’t started dating yet but the girls have noticed how handsome he has become and he’s the one they are all aiming for.
“Ascot has some competition from Downe House and Heathfield too because some of the girls from there have also made it clear that they are also chasing the prize.
“It’s become a bit of an in-joke between the girls from all the schools who ask each other if they’ve started dating him yet.”
The Earl of Wessex received his GCSE results just last week.
Prince Edward and Sophie’s youngest child reportedly received his results on the Balmoral estate where he is currently staying with the rest of the royals, including his parents and his sister, Lady Louise, the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
James has been largely kept away from the spotlight as he focuses on his future. The royal was last seen in public back in May when he attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show at Windsor Castle.
It was recently reported that James’s sister, Lady Louise Windsor has been forging a firm bond with close confidant and friend Felix da Silva Clamp.
Lady Louise, 20, was snapped cosying up to Felix, also 20, as she took part in a special competition at the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials in Norfolk in July.
Images of the couple recently surfaced on social media showing them embracing at a party and the pair are said to be “almost inseparable”.
The King’s niece is now said to be “dating” Felix who works in an ice cream parlour in St. Andrew’s while he studies.
